The Celebración Cultural del Idioma Español / Cultural Celebration of the Spanish Language (CCIE) is a non-profit organization created to stimulate and promote mutual appreciation and awareness of artistic contributions made by persons of Hispanic-Canadian origin and other Canadians of different origins.

Through its annual Festival of Images and Words and the
SÍ-SÍ-CINE Toronto Latin Film Festival, the CCIE has been a driving force in promoting Language, Literature, Fine Arts Exhibitions, Theatrical Performances and Musical Concerts.
The CCIE infrastructure is composed entirely of volunteers, some of whom have been actively contributing their time and talents since its inception in 1992.

In preparing its annual Festival of Images and Words the CCIE works closely with institutions of higher education, with Spanish-speaking Consulates and Embassies and with many individuals and companies in both the private and public sectors.

"Con relación a la reciente decisión de la Cuidad de Toronto de declarar el 23 de abril como Día del Idioma Español, considero un gustoso deber de justicia felicitarla y agradecerle toda una vida dedicada a la promoción del idioma español y la cultura de lo de países hispanoparlantes."
